QNet recently participated in the prestigious ASEAN-India Biztech Expo and Conference 2017 held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Officiated by Malaysia’s Minister for International Trade and Industry Mustapa Mohamed, the two-day conference themed Bridging Borders Through Business featured technology experts from a wide range of industries as well as the professional and business services sectors from Asean and India.
With 2017 being the 25th anniversary of ASEAN-India relations, the conference was aimed at strengthening existing trade cooperation between ASEAN and the Indian business community. The event also aimed at establishing the importance of applying and integrating technology into business, and seek to bridge the never-ending opportunities in the ever-changing business and technology world.
The QNet team proudly showcased a number of our world-class global products at the booth from the wellness, nutrition, home care, personal care and luxury product categories.
QNet’s global Chief Operating Officer Malcolm Chiu spoke at the event about the importance of digital disruption in today’s business environment.
“If you want to take your company into the new digital world, you must have the intense passion and unwavering mindset that says ‘We MUST change!’ instead of ‘We can’t!’” he said touching on Transformation Intensity. He also added that the core of business transformation is the business model. “Look at Uber or Airbnb, they have no assets. If your mind is merely thinking about specific items like website design, it’s not good enough. You need to rethink your business model.”
The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Secretary General Dr A Didar Singh said India and Malaysia moved to a better level of economic and business collaboration. “In today’s event, we have bought over 20 delegates who are also exhibitors, including innovators and foreign medium enterprises, and this is the real way forward. In this platform, they connect with Malaysian and ASEAN companies, which will see partnerships developed from all different aspects.”
QNet’s participation at this important event is a sign of our further commitment to strengthening our presence in India by leveraging the strength of our global partnerships.
